They are seventh graders Caliann Camacho, Camille Caponpon, Treyvaughn Castro, Jason De Leon, Aljess Echaluce, Francine Esefou, Aaleyah-Melisa Fatialofa, William Flores, Demitric Francisco, Reddick Leon Guerrero, Tommy Martinez, Reekeath Rengiil, Jayvin Reyes, Mia Rogopes, Jesus Daniel San Nicolas, Tyler Santos, Muntaha Sumaya and Daimion Tudela.

“We are extremely proud of these TMS students who worked hard all semester and had excellent performance on their certification exams with an overall pass rate of 86%!” Island Training Solutions Chief Operating Officer Alex Hu said.  “We’d like to thank the [Public School System’s’ leadership, school administration, instructors, parents and students for their support and continued partnership. We are looking forward to having the IC3 Spark class at TMS and other PSS middle schools in the upcoming Fall 2025 semester,” he added.

He said the certification class is part of the Future Proof Pathway of Certification courses offered by ITS to PSS students in partnership with PSS and its Career and Technical Education program led by Senior Director for Curriculum and Instructional Services Dr. Rizalina Liwag and CTE Program Manager Dr. Jessica Taylor.

The CTE is funded by a consolidated grant awarded to PSS by the U.S. government and is administered by the PSS Federal Programs Office, which is led by Director Jacqueline P. Che.

Hu said the Future Proof Pathway starts in middle school with IC3 Digital Literacy Spark and is part of several certification courses on technology, personal finance and business. They are designed to prepare students for success whether they are planning to enter college, the workforce, the military, trade school or pursue other post-secondary education.

The IC3 Digital Literacy Spark course provides students with foundational digital skills that involve technology basics, computer operating systems, computer hardware and software, introduction to Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), digital communication and digital citizenship, online research and online safety and security.

Students who have successfully completed the IC3 Digital Literacy Spark certification can continue to advance on the Future Proof Pathway of classes with the IC3 Digital Literacy Level 1 certification class, which will also be offered at public high schools in the upcoming semester.
