TRC’s digital-first initiative FutureProof returns to Nations & Regions
Glasgow-based training provider TRC have announced the twelve companies who will take part in the second iteration of FutureProof.
Launched to support independent production companies in the Nations and Regions, TRC’s FutureProof programme was designed to help senior leaders navigate a digital-first world and seize new opportunities for growth.
First launched in 2025, the course was d eveloped and delivered by TRC with creative lead Justin Crosby (Tellycast, The Drop) in response to the shifting TV landscape. Aimed at Creative Directors and Senior Executives who lead business development or strategy within their companies, FutureProof will provide companies with training and one-to-one consultancy designed to help them explore new directions, creative output and expand networks outside of traditional broadcasters.
Throughout the programme, delegates will benefit from exclusive access to leading producers in digital content, covering topics such as digital distribution and engagement, AI integration into workflows, multi-platform content development, data-driven decision-making, and commercial growth.
The impact on the first cohort is already evident, since completing the programme: Firecrest are refining their digital content strategy with meaningful progress being made around IP exploitation in the digital space; Finestripe are in the process of repur posing their back catalogue for digital distribution; Afanti Media have kicked off a new YouTube channel focused on archive material from their early 2000s music show The Pop Factory, and Hello Halo have launched their Let’s Get Knitting YouTube channel with Tom Daley, already reaching over 10k subscribers.

The course will run from February 2026 to April 2026 , with the first sessions taking place in Glasgow this week. Confirmed contributors to the programme to date include:
