AT&T to invest $50K in MLK Neighborhood Association | Community
SHREVEPORT, La. — The Martin Luther King Jr. Neighborhood Association in Shreveport is one of 20 organizations nationwide to be awarded with an AT&T Connected Learning Center.
The center will receive an investment of $50,000 from AT&T to provide internet access and digital resources to the community. It will also get high-speed internet, Dell computers and access to digital literacy training and resources.
When it opens at a later date, the center will provide a reliable place to get online, complete schoolwork, apply for jobs, manage healthcare, create resumes, attend virtual appointments access benefits, learn digital skills, communicate with loved ones and more. The effort is part of AT&T’s $5B initiative to help bridge the digital divide.
The MLK Neighborhood Association offers a variety of services, including nutrition, education, fellowship and recreational activities.
