AWS launches two new programs aiming to equip students and recent graduates with AI skills and literacy — EdTech Innovation Hub
As 52 percent of employees say their organizations do not fully understand how to train their staff with AI skills, AWS says it will also announce an immersive learning experience to help build practical generative AI capabilities.
AWS is launching targeted learning paths for recent college graduates, aiming to help them navigate employment challenges.
The program aims to bridge the gap between graduates’ existing skills and evolving industry demands. The course will cover essential AI and cloud skill development.
AWS will also launch LLM League, an immersive learning program that will see teams from organizations attempt to solve real business problems and build AI solutions. Teams will initially be asked to complete three challenges fundamental to building generative AI solutions: prompt engineering, knowledge retrieval, and fine-tuning.
AWS will provide up to $2 million in AWS credits to support participants’ learning.
Speaking exclusively to ETIH, Michelle Vaz, Managing Director of AWS Training and Certification, says:
“With the advent of AI, we’re witnessing a profound transformation of the ‘entry-level’ role in tech. This is an opportunity for early-career professionals to leapfrog the traditional path where they historically had to spend a majority of their time on repetitive and time-consuming tasks, and instead, contribute at a strategic, leadership level from day one. At AWS, we see this as a call to action: to ensure that access to AI training and certifications is as accessible and accelerated as the ever-evolving AI innovations that are driving this shift.”
