A new faith-based leadership program for women officially launched in Hagerstown on Monday.

Cornerstone for Women Leaders focuses on combining faith and professional growth, aiming to equip women in the tri-state area with the skills, knowledge and support needed to excel in leadership positions, according to a news release from Cornerstone CEO Shadae Paul.

Cornerstone for Women Leaders offers:

  • Virtual coaching: Certified leadership coaches that offer virtual support, providing personalized guidance to women leaders anytime, anywhere.
  • Immersive workshops: In-person and virtual workshops combine Bible study and leadership development, led by experienced pastors, Bible teachers, and ministers.
  • Digital and print resources: Providing women leaders with expert insights through digital and print resources.
  • Bible-centric approach: Unlike typical leadership programs, the Bible serves as their sole source of wisdom and informs their faith-driven resources.

According to the Women in the Workplace study by researchers McKinsey & Company, the number of women in management positions has grown steadily from 2015-2019, the release noted. Christians at Work, published by The Barna Group, found that people who align their faith with their work thrive beyond the workplace: in their families, friendships, mental health, emotional health and physical well-being, the release noted, and are more likely to act ethically at work and are more conscientious about how their lives influence the world around them.
