Cox Innovation Lab opens at Boys & Girls Club in Henderson
A new Cox Innovation Lab is set to open on Wednesday at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada’s Donald W. Reynolds Clubhouse, located at 2980 Robindale Road.
This initiative is a collaboration between Cox Communications and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, aimed at providing children and teens with a space to learn, create, and connect.
Joe Peeples, Cox Director of Hospitality Operations and a board member for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, highlighted the significance of the project. “Cox Communications will open its 15th Cox Innovation Lab on Wednesday, August 20 in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada,” he said.
The new lab, situated in the Teen Center, features laptops, 3D printers, modern furniture, and high-speed internet provided by Cox. Other Cox Innovation Labs across the valley include podcast studios, gaming stations, and DJ studios.
Peeples noted that the labs are designed to help young people build digital skills, explore new interests, and prepare for the future. “Cox Innovation Labs provide a safe, inspiring place where kids can learn, create and connect,” he said.
The project is part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Club Tech Initiative, with Cox providing a $25,000 grant to support the new lab. This marks the second Cox Innovation Lab at the Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls Clubhouse, further expanding the resources available to local youth.
