Digital Arts & Design Grads Present at Showcase
On March 4, three recent graduates of Full Sail University’s Digital Arts & Design bachelor’s program showed off their skills in motion graphics to friends, family, faculty, and students at a grad showcase.
Grads Ashley Martin, Stevie Moore, and Aidan Kay were selected by industry professionals who acted as judges to present their work at the showcase, which features outstanding grads every month. They shared their capstone projects, which were professional-quality 2D or 3D animated shorts with a minimum length of 15 seconds, and demo reels, which acted as their video resumes displaying the breadth of their abilities.
The animated shorts featured spec motion graphics ads for brands like Spotify, Pepsi, IKEA, and Chanel. The spots highlighted the grads’ creativity, innovation, and attention to detail, and all three got the chance to share the stories behind their creations, as well as elaborate on what inspires them as artists.
“These projects were the culmination of all the work Ashley, Stevie, and Aidan have done over the past two years in the Digital Arts & Design bachelor’s program,” said Joel Sink, Course Director for the Digital Arts & Design program. “I love that I got to watch their skills grow and develop over their time here. They’re amazing, and I’m so incredibly proud of them.”
