An Upper Fells Point neighborhood is coming together to raise money to increase a reward for information in connection with an armed attempted robbery caught on camera.Organizers said it’s about community and that their fundraising event is unique. Residents told 11 News that they and their neighbors are the reason Baltimore is called “Charm City.”Nick Webb became the victim of an armed attempted robbery on June 11 on South Regester Street. Baltimore police are still looking for a man and a woman in the investigation.A neighbor, Nick Briggs, heard someone in distress, came out of his house and started yelling, which scared off the assailants. The intense situation lasted about 30 seconds.The next day, some of the neighbors took off work to canvass the neighborhood for cameras to request a copy of the video.”This is a celebration of life and (to say), ‘Don’t mess around with my block. Don’t mess around with my community. We will come at you hard and fast and do everything we can to make sure you get locked up,'” Webb told 11 News.”We want to send a message to would-be perpetrators, would-be assailants, would-be criminals that we are not the block to mess with, we are not the place to bring your bad intentions,” Briggs told 11 News. “We also want to send a message more broadly to all of Fells Point and Upper Fells Point that, hey, if we band together, we can do a lot.”Webb told 11 News he was shaken up by the experience, but he’s not leaving.”I was still kind of in shock. I was glad I was OK,” Webb told 11 News on June 13. “Weirdly enough, it didn’t feel like my life was in danger for some reason, even though I had a gun pointed at me.”Webb said detectives asked if he was considering moving.”I was like, ‘No,'” Webb said on June 13. “I have a nice block. I love the people on the block.
