How To Earn Money Fast In Pokemon Legends: Z-A
Given how prevalent shopping is in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, beyond just the usual Poke Balls and Potions, it only makes sense that everyone would be seeking out the best ways to earn Pokemon Dollars. Most of the clothing shops in Legends: Z-A are fairly reasonable, but some of the higher end shops can charge nearly P100,000 for one item.
Thankfully, there are plenty of ways to not only earn money in Pokemon Legends Z-A, but ways to earn a lot of money in a very short time. So, if you’re hoping to fund a complete makeover or simply purchase some items needed for battles, it shouldn’t take you long to acquire the amount you need.
Earn Money Battling In Z-A Royale

Participating in the nightly Battle Royale, known as the Z-A Royale, in Pokemon Legends: Z-A is by far the easiest method to earn a significant amount of money and make progress in the game while doing it. At several points throughout the game, you’ll be required to participate to earn a Challenge Ticket and progress through the main story, which is the best time to earn money.
At the beginning of the game, you’ll likely be able to earn enough points for your Challenge Ticket after a couple of battles, especially if you use bonus cards, but you don’t have to stop there. Even if you’ve earned enough points, you should go ahead and finish out the night anyway, winning as many matches and earning as many Medals as you can.
This is because, once the night is over, you will be rewarded a monetary amount based on the amount of Medals you earned. Specifically, the rates are:
- Number of Medals x 10 = Amount of Money Earned
In addition to that number, you’ll also receive a multiplier based on the number of trainers you defeat. The higher the number of trainers you defeat, the higher your multiplier will be. More often than not, this multiplier will likely end up being x1.5 or x2.0 the total money earned from Medals.
You can lose Medals if you lose a match, so don’t be overzealous while battling trainers if you find yourself struggling and be wary of trainers that rank higher than you.
More often than not, it can be relatively easy to come out of a night in Z-A Royale with anywhere from 10,000 to 100,000 Pokemon Dollars. So, since you can easily rest on a bench and reset day to night to do it again, this is by far the easiest and most efficient way to earn money in the game.
                        Earn Money Selling Treasures

Selling items in Pokemon is perhaps one of the most classic ways to make money, especially in recent Pokemon games where you stumble on items far more frequently. Throughout Lumiose you’ve likely seen the gold sparkles on the ground or the Poke Balls indicating an item that can be picked up.
More often than not, these are going to be items you can sell at a Pokemon Center. Of course, you can sell virtually anything you want in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, including Poke Balls and Potions, but the real things you want to prioritize selling are the various treasures that can be found throughout the map.
In addition to the treasures you can pick up in Lumiose, you can also earn valuable treasures as rewards in online Ranked Battles, but this requires a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
These items will be placed into a specific ‘Treasure’ section of your inventory with an icon that looks like a shiny pearl. Everything in this section is intentionally for the sole purpose of selling to make money. Unfortunately, most of the items only go for a few hundred to a few thousand each, but if you accrue enough of them, then it can still be a good way to earn some extra money.
                        Complete Side Missions

While this isn’t the recommended method to earn money, completing Side Missions is a way to earn money while progressing through the game. Of course, these are optional, so if you’re not planning to 100 percent the game then this technically does require additional work whereas the other options listed in this guide do not.
That being said, most of the Side Missions in Legends: Z-A are relatively simple and can be completed in a matter of a few minutes. Every Side Mission has its own rewards and so the amounts rewarded will vary, but generally it is around a thousand Pokemon Dollars and a few items.
Use The Gold Canari Plush To Boost Your Earnings

If you’ve progressed far enough in the story to visit Racine Construction, then you probably already know about Canari plushes. These plushes are items that can be bought exclusively at Racine Construction and give you various boosts. One of the ones you can purchase is the Gold Canari Plush.
The Gold Canari Plush is an item that will specifically increase the amount of money earned from battles. You can level it up a few times to increase its effect as well.
The only downside to acquiring this boost is that the plush vendor only accepts Colorful Screws as currency. These screws are items that are typically found in purple Poke Balls while scaling the various construction structures around Lumiose, which can be a bit tedious to earn.
Of course, this isn’t a way to earn money in and of itself, but it can boost the amount you’re earning through these other methods, so it’s still a good idea to grab the Gold Canari Plush and upgrade it when you can. Overall, all of these methods together should ensure that you always have the funds you need on hand at any point or be able to earn them relatively quickly.
