One of the first reactions to seeing Taijuan Walker starting another game for the Phillies has to be “Oh No, Not Again!

If you’re a card-carrying Negadelphian, I’m sure that’s the way to approach it.

However, if you like to see the glass half full, you look at is as a great opportunity to make money on the over. Nineteen total runs were scored in the last two games in which Walker appeared. He allowed three earned runs, two dingers, and nine hits in his last outing versus the Angels.

The numbers haven’t been great in favor of the Yankees’ Friday starter Will Warren, who allowed 15 earned runs over 18.2 innings this month.

So yeah, even if the over/under sits at 10 at bet365, it’s a good way to go.

Both pitchers have splits that favor the strengths of the opposing lineups. Warren has allowed nine home runs and a .282 batting average to lefties, which cues you right up for Kyle Schwarber and/or Bryce Harper, or even new dad Bryson Stott to go yard over Yankee Stadium’s right field short porch.

Walker’s let up six long balls and a. 270 average to righties, and oh by the way, Aaron Judge has four career home runs in 13 at-bats versus Walker. A handful of other Yankees, including Giancarlo Stanton with a homer and .333 AVG in 12 ABs, have had success in their careers against Walker.

A Schwarber/Judge HR SGP is +625. If you add the Over 10, you get the SGP to +900 before you use bet365’s 50 percent Super Boost for SGPs.

If you want to get a little wild, BetMGM has an Any Sport No Sweat Token available that you can use on Schwarber, Judge, Harper and Stanton to hit home runs. That SGP has a +8000 pay out. Not bad for a No Sweat bet.

BetMGM’s Big Fly Fridays promotion is back again as well. You win a share of $100,000 in bonus bets if the player you choose to hit a home run hits the longest home run on Friday’s slate. I’d go with Schwarber or Harper to hit a second-decker into right field. It’s a good night for NJ sportsbook promos and PA betting promos.
