New Certifications and Training for Secure Networking in the AI Era
At Learn with Cisco, we’ve seen that new technologies and new capabilities require new skills. The introduction of AIOps, for example, represents a significant shift in how networks are managed, secured, and operated. IT professionals will spend less time on manual work and rote tasks, but their ability to analyze trends and AI outputs will be highly valued. Data scientists and network engineers will collaborate more closely to ensure deep observability of their networks and applications. And those throughout the industry will need to become even more comfortable with change.
Learn with Cisco is committed to leading the industry, ensuring that IT professionals and those looking to enter the field have the skills required to succeed as AI transforms their roles. So even as AI is transforming our industry, we’re transforming our learning portfolio.
Today, we’re pleased to announce significant advances across our learning portfolio:
Security for the AI era
CCNA and CCNP Security: First day to test at Cisco Live EMEA
CCNP and CCIE Security: New core exam blueprint
AI is fundamentally changing the way we think about cybersecurity and the skills needed to defend against bad actors. AI expansion and core infrastructure refreshes dramatically increase attack surfaces, making security and cybersecurity the foundational capabilities that must be modernized alongside networking, data center, and AI platforms. AI also requires a reconsideration of the security stack to protect AI models, applications, and agents.
At Cisco Live Amsterdam, Learn with Cisco will announce an overhaul of our popular Cisco Security Certification portfolio, including Cisco Security Specialist Certifications. This includes a new Security Core exam blueprint (part of the CCNP Security & CCIE Security Certifications). These updates, along with others, support the continued integration of Cisco’s capabilities in security, AI, networking, and automation, as well as Splunk, bringing them together as unified components of a modern security architecture.
As previously announced, Cisco Live EMEA will be the first opportunity to test for the new CCNA Cybersecurity and CCNP Cybersecurity certifications (previously cyberops).
In-demand AI training and certifications
AI Infrastructure Specialist Certification: First day to test at Cisco Live EMEA
AI workloads and the need for modernization are fundamentally reshaping data centers and networks, as well as the skills required to build and manage this modernized infrastructure. The AI Infrastructure Specialist Certification helps IT professionals validate the real-world skills to design, deploy, and operate AI-ready infrastructure securely and at scale. This new certification incorporates significant partner feedback and practitioner input, ensuring relevance in customer environments.
AI Technical Practitioner Certification: Updated learning path goes live at Cisco Live EMEA
ICT roles are already being transformed by AI. With the AI Technical Practitioner Certification, we help ensure that IT professionals are prepared and leading throughout this shift. This certification equips learners with the skills to effectively design technical solutions, automate tasks, and lead technical teams using cutting-edge AI tools and methodologies. The updated learning path for this certification will go live at Cisco Live EMEA.
CCNA, CCNP, and CCIE Automation (Formerly DevNet): First day to test at Cisco Live EMEA
AIOps depends on automation. That’s one of the reasons Learn with Cisco recently updated our DevNet certifications, clarifying both their impact and their value. Formerly DevNet, our Automation Certifications have been updated and are now known as CCNA Automation, CCNP Automation, and CCIE Automation.
Updating these programs ensures that Cisco certifications reflect AI-driven, software-defined, and automated enterprise realities. It highlights the importance of skills in automation and the career paths they support.
The first day to test for these updated certifications will be at Cisco Live EMEA.
Apply AI: Full curriculum available at Cisco Live EMEA
The reach of AI is far beyond those already in the networking and technology fields. Cisco Networking Academy, which makes digital skills available to students and those early in their careers, will release its full Apply AI curriculum at Cisco Live EMEA. Apply AI provides instruction in the real-world application of AI across industries and job functions. The curriculum includes:
New Wireless Track Certifications (exams available shortly after CL EMEA):
AI-driven operations, Wi-Fi 7, smart buildings, and IoT all demand next-gen networks and modern wireless expertise. That’s why we’re launching new wireless track certifications, with exams available shortly after Cisco Live EMEA.
While security and AI are areas of intense focus for Cisco, our customers, and our learners, Learn with Cisco continues to provide a breadth and depth of training, from entry-level to expert, across the learning continuum. Learn more about Learn with Cisco here.
