Professional experience before McCourt: Before attending McCourt, I had the privilege of serving our nation as a United States Army Officer in the Logistics Corps. In this career field, I commanded a transportation company consisting of over 260 personnel and heavy equipment to deliver logistical supplies across the world. I also served in strategic, operational and tactical leadership positions throughout my military career.
Why’d you choose McCourt?: I chose McCourt because of its emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches and real-world applications that align perfectly with my aspirations. It is my desire to engage with leading experts, collaborate with peers, and gain the necessary skills to sharpen my knowledge base. This program represents a crucial step in my journey to becoming a more effective defense policy leader and advocate for achieving desired outcomes.
A fact your classmates might not know about you: Recently, my team and I led a logistics operation in the Middle East focused on delivering critical humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

Professional experience before McCourt: Before McCourt, I am proud to have worked at multiple nonprofit development shops with a gender lens, including Vital Voices Global Partnership and the National Women’s Law Center. I’ve also worked on multiple event contracts, including Presidential Advance and multilateral meetings hosted by the U.S. through the Office of the Chief of Protocol at the State Department.
Why’d you choose McCourt?: I chose McCourt because I know it is the best way to get a great education and accomplish my mission to create policies to prevent harm. I am proud of the time I have spent facilitating the work of excellent policy professionals through fundraising and events, but I’m ready to be the one doing the work, and I know McCourt can help me get there.
A fact your classmates might not know about you: I’m a legacy Hoya! My father graduated from Georgetown in 1987 and still keeps in touch with a group of 4 men he met during his time there! They call themselves “Equipo Chevre” (loosely translated to Team Cool) and studied abroad together in Ecuador.

MPM Student, Class of 2027
Professional experience before McCourt: Before McCourt, I served in the office of Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and am proud to currently work in the office of House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries (MPP’94). I currently serve as a Special Assistant for Leader Jeffries and work in the various areas of operations, advance, protocol, floor procedure and more.
Why’d you choose McCourt?: I chose McCourt because I wanted to learn more about crafting public policy, and I wanted to learn from the best. I hope to learn and grow more in the fields of public management and policymaking. I want to find the training at McCourt that can best compliment my experience in the House of Representatives so that I can support lawmakers and their teams in crafting the best policy possible for the American people.
A fact your classmates might not know about you: I am the oldest of seven children, I love theatre, especially musicals, and I am a dog-dad to two mini Australian Shepherds named Pippin and Merry.

Professional experience before McCourt: Before joining McCourt, I spent five and a half years at Visa where I worked across teams including the President’s Office, Global Risk, Experiential Marketing, Social Impact, and the Visa Foundation. I began my career with a focus on business strategy and have since applied those skills to drive social equity outcomes at scale. In my most recent role as a global strategy manager on the Corporate Social Responsibility team, I partnered with our regional teams on cross-functional initiatives focused on financial inclusion, digital skills and global impact programs.
I was also a WISE Fellow with the Qatar Foundation, an AI Governance Fellow with the Equiano Institute and currently serve as the founder of a nonprofit, DearSociety, while serving on the board of the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce where I support small business development and cross-border partnership initiatives.
Why’d you choose McCourt?: The work I hope to advance through my nonprofit, DearSociety, requires the kind of policy knowledge, resources and global perspective that McCourt makes accessible. What drew me here was the McCourt School’s deep commitment to equity and the opportunity to learn alongside such a globally diverse and mission-driven cohort. McCourt does an incredible job of cultivating an inclusive learning environment and everyone brings unique experiences to the table. Our classroom discussions are a beautiful blend of perspectives that constantly challenge and inspire me. Honestly, who wouldn’t choose McCourt?
A fact your classmates might not know about you: I also have a degree in AI Ethics and am obsessed with all things tech-for-good! I’m a big believer in using AI to solve some of society’s toughest challenges and helping others learn how to do the same. I also love trying international restaurants, so if you’ve got a favorite spot in DC, send it my way!
