Connected Nation (CN), AT&T, the City of Lexington’s Black and Williams Neighborhood Center, the Georgetown Street Neighborhood Association, and the Marafiki Center are partnering to provide 120 laptop devices and critical digital skills to Lexington residents.

The devices are being provided through AT&T’s Tech 4 Training program, with Compudot managing refurbishment and preparation of the laptops to ensure participants receive reliable, high-quality devices.

“Thanks to the support of AT&T and Connected Nation, we are helping our residents improve their lives with access to technology and digital literacy,” said Mayor Linda Gorton. “This, along with the work of the Digital Accessibility Workgroup’s Get Connected Lex initiative, helps our friends and neighbors prepare for, and succeed in, a world that relies on digital technology.”

Get Connected Lex is an initiative led by Lexington’s Digital Accessibility Workgroup that envisions a thriving city where every resident, regardless of age, background, or location, has access to affordable broadband, reliable devices, and the skills needed to navigate the digital world.
