Oracle Supports Malaysia’s Digital Future with Training for 300,000 in AI and Cloud Technologies
KUALA LUMPUR: Oracle has announced a partnership with MyDIGITAL Corporation to deliver digital skills training to 300,000 students and professionals across Malaysia, supporting the country’s ambitions to lead in digital innovation. The initiative aims to bolster employability, foster innovation, and strengthen Malaysia’s digital economy by 2029.
In collaboration with MyDIGITAL, a monitoring agency under the Ministry of Digital, Oracle will provide access to over 200 hours of structured learning and certification programmes in key areas such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Generative AI, Data Science, Oracle APEX, DevOps, and Security. The training will be delivered free of charge via Oracle MyLearn, Oracle’s global platform for digital training and professional development.
Minister of Digital, Gobind Singh Deo, highlighted that Malaysia’s strong momentum in digital investment is positioning the nation as a future AI leader in Southeast Asia. He emphasised that Oracle’s partnership with MyDIGITAL would help build a high-calibre digital workforce, accelerate innovation, and support the country’s long-term economic growth. He also called for increased lifelong learning opportunities from both public and private sectors to meet the rising demand for AI expertise and enhance Malaysia’s global competitiveness.
The programme aims to empower learners with badges and professional certifications, enabling them to demonstrate their skills and improve employability. It will also integrate with the existing Rakyat Digital platform, which offers digital literacy modules, by June 2026, creating a seamless experience for users.
Royce Teoh, Managing Director of Oracle Malaysia, stated that Oracle’s technology stack supports organisations in harnessing AI to transform operations and build critical digital skills. He reaffirmed Oracle’s commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s digital ecosystem and advancing its AI ambitions as the nation strives to become a regional AI hub by 2030.
Oracle University, which has trained over three million professionals globally, will continue to support this initiative by providing access to world-class training resources and leading industry experts. With more than 20 million hours of content viewed worldwide, Oracle’s programmes aim to enhance Malaysia’s digital talent pipeline and foster innovation across industries.
