School Notes 5-9-25 – The Daily Plainsman
By Plainsman Staff
Huron Middle School CTE
Huron Middle School students are learning valuable tech skills in computer class this spring. Seventh and eighth graders are working with Google Sheets, learning how to use formulas and functions to organize and calculate data. They are creating spreadsheets and exploring tools like charts and formatting.
Meanwhile, sixth graders are learning the basics of coding through Code.org. They are using blocks to create simple games and animations while learning key programming ideas like loops and conditionals. The class helps students build digital skills and sparks interest in technology at a young age through fun, hands-on lessons.
