Spectrum recently hosted a digital education class with Jewish Family Services to provide seniors in Columbus tips to maximize their Wi-Fi experience, navigate streaming apps and how to stay safe online.

Jesse Femyer, area vice president, field operations for Spectrum’s Midwest Central Service Area, said in a news release, “The importance of expanding access to essential broadband technologies, education and training is profound in our increasingly digital world. Through the Spectrum Digital Education grant program, we are partnering with valued nonprofits like Jewish Family Services that share our commitment to create better opportunities for the communities we serve.”

Following the training, Spectrum presented Jewish Family Services with a $15,000 Spectrum Digital Education grant for their digital literacy program, which offers programming to equip

people with necessary digital skills to succeed in modern workplaces.

“We are thankful for this partnership with Spectrum which helps us to expand our Digital Skills for the Workplace program,” Karen Mozenter, CEO, Jewish Family Services, said. “Our goal is to provide a safe, positive learning environment so our community can learn how to gain valuable skills to thrive in a modern tech-focused workforce.”
