Finding ways to earn extra income has become more accessible than ever, especially if you have an Android. Whether you’re trying to supplement income, save money, or simply make the most of your free time, there are many opportunities to turn your smartphone into a money-making tool.

The best part is that many of these apps take very little time and offer a lot of monetary compensation. There are a lot of requirements to get started, but it’s worth the hassle, especially with Meta’s apps taking down competition.

Some people use it as a way to have a dog in their house and not do very much. It’s also a great way to find a buddy when you want to exercise or go to the park.

If you want to make a lot through this, you have to deliver exceptional service, respond to reviews, research local rates, expand your skills, and stay available. If you are already a dog lover, this is just a great app to have, so you can interact and learn more about dog ownership.

Swagbucks is a free rewards app that lets you earn money by completing online and real-world tasks. Points, called SB, can be redeemed for PayPal cash, gift cards (Amazon, Walmart, Starbucks), or checks, with 100 SB equaling $1. This might sound too good to be true, but I can guarantee it works. It also doesn’t take very long to do.

Some users just leave their phones, tablets, or spare computers on a window playing the ads, but I wouldn’t recommend that because it’s against the terms of service. It’s still an easy way to make extra money without any real effort. You can also do surveys that make you a good deal if you keep up with them. I’ve kept this in my phone because I seem to always have some spare time to earn, and you have enough to cash out before you know it.

Bestplay

Bestplay is a free Android app that lets you earn money by playing mobile games. This isn’t as easy as it sounds, because this normally isn’t the fun ones. These are games that can be pretty dull, and you have to get to a certain point in the game to get the points. However, if you’ve got some time, this app is a good way to get extra money and try games you likely haven’t thought about.

I’ve actually found plenty of games that I kept longer than I needed to because they were more fun than I thought. Just make sure not to pay for any game boosts if you’re not going to stick around, as the cost can really add up.

Google Opinion Rewards

Google Opinion Rewards is a dicey entry because you are basically giving Google your data and helping it figure out ways to farm your data easily. The app delivers short, multiple-choice surveys that are almost always about recent shopping trips or visited locations, which is why enabling location services increases survey frequency.

Surveys typically take just 10 seconds to complete, but if you’re spending longer, you’re getting more money. It will ask if you spent money, how you did it, and other things to clarify your spending habits. Many times, you are going to take pictures of your receipts. This can understandably feel like an invasion of privacy, but I’ve gotten at least $10 a month from just answering the fastest surveys you’ve ever seen.

Ibotta

Ibotta is a free mobile cash-back shopping and coupon app that helps you earn money by purchasing select products and completing simple tasks. I have gotten so much money through this, and I highly recommend it. It operates like a loyalty program; it offers cash back on groceries, retail, and online purchases.

You’re going to show your receipts to prove your purchases, but you end up with a lot of money by the end of a grocery trip, usually five to six dollars worth. You can also link loyalty cards, and the app will read those instead of needing to put receipts in. This is basically helping advertisers sell to you, so you’ll have to decide if the trade-off is worth it.

Instacart

Instacart is an Android app that serves as an online grocery delivery and pickup platform, much like Uber Eats. However, it’s a lot better, the customers are friendlier and tip better, and the customer service is much better too. This was much easier to do as a full-time job during COVID, but it’s still a great way to earn extra money, especially with people being able to order groceries from their fridges.

If you’re in a store and activate the app, you’re likely going to get an order for that specific store, and so you can make a quick stop on the way home to deliver their groceries while you do your own. It’s a really easy way to earn some extra cash, and I’ve even gotten $25 on a 15-minute order because of tips.

Fetch

Fetch is my favorite free mobile rewards app for Android. It lets you earn points by scanning receipts from various retailers and using other in-app features. I prefer Fetch over Ibotta because it pays a little more and is easier to use. I would say to use Fetch instead of Ibotta if you were choosing between the two.

Just take pictures of your receipts and earn points and money. It’s a completely legitimate app that takes no more than a few minutes after grocery day, and you could make about $20 to $30 a month using it. It’s also much easier to start than other apps on here, so you can start today right after downloading the app.

It’s important to stay consistent with these, especially apps like Fetch. If you combine multiple apps, you can maximize your earnings without overwhelming your time. I’d say to use Fetch and Google Opinion Rewards to start with, and then move to other apps once you’ve made them a habit.

These Android apps give you practical and accessible ways to supplement your income. Still, it’s important to approach these opportunities with realistic expectations. Few of these apps will replace a full-time income overnight, but they can collectively add up to a meaningful boost in your budget.
