MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Monday said that traffic adjustments will be in place for the 14th WorldSkills Asean Manila 2025 to be hosted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) from August 21 to 31.

The opening ceremony will be held on August 25 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, while the main competition will be on August 26 to 28 at the World Trade Center. The closing ceremony will be on August 30 at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City.

On Monday, August 18, the MMDA said motorists are advised to avoid these venues as the event is expected to draw thousands of participants, students, teachers, industry partners, government representatives, and members of the public.

At least 85 MMDA personnel will be deployed to manage traffic and ensure emergency preparedness along key routes, including the airport, billeting hotels, competition sites, and official event areas.

The MMDA said it will coordinate with the Philippine National Police, local traffic units, and other agencies to maintain order throughout the event.
