In May 2025, Aramco’s CEO Amin Nasser described AI infrastructure as one of the core pillars of Aramco’s $90bn US deal package, including agreements with Nvidia, AWS®, and Qualcomm®, that spans AI and robotics infrastructure, digital transformation, and workforce development. Also, at GAIN 2024, Aramco unveiled the Eye on AI™ program to establish industrial large language models (LLMs), AI cybersecurity governance, and facility-monitoring tools at the edge.

Internally, AI is heavily used for predictive maintenance, reliability, and operational monitoring. As part of its infrastructure build-out, Aramco Digital also partnered with  Groq® to build what is reported as the world’s largest AI inferencing data center in Saudi Arabia, planned to serve high-scale AI workloads. Workforce upskilling is a formal priority. In September 2024, Aramco Digital and Accenture launched a partnership to train Aramco’s workforce in Cloud, Data & AI, including responsible usage of generative AI. Aramco has also invested in digital skills nationally via its SAIL™ (Saudi Accelerated Innovation Lab) and its Global AI Corridor™ ecosystem.
