Aguascalientes Equips Public Schools With Top Technology
The Government of Aguascalientes is equipping public schools with computers, projectors, and digital platforms intended to support classrooms and expand access to educational content. The action includes over 10,000 interactive resources available through the Pasos Gigantes platform and additional materials offered through the Digital Tools for Education portal. The digital infrastructure deployment is part of a broader policy to align education with the state’s industrial and technological agenda.
The initiative included the introduction of computer equipment designed for secure use and access to educational applications, cloud storage, and digital materials that support class planning. The Instituto de Educacion de Aguascalientes (IEA) is training teachers to incorporate these tools into their instructional practices and strengthen digital literacy across school levels.
The platform contains close to 10,000 interactive resources aligned with the national curriculum. Content includes online textbooks, instructional videos, robotics activities, logic exercises, simulators, and practice materials for students from preschool through high school. The platform functions as a centralized repository intended to standardize digital content and support student engagement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The IEA also launched the Digital Tools for Education portal, which consolidates applications, multimedia resources, and support materials that promote digital skills, critical thinking, and collaborative work. The portal is part of the state’s objective to strengthen capacities required by sectors with increasing demand for specialized labor.
On Nov. 12, state authorities completed a business mission to India to promote investment routes in automotive, information technology, advanced manufacturing, and agricultural machinery. Through these initiatives, the government aims to position Aguascalientes as a strategic partner for North American supply chains, while emphasizing the need to reinforce human capital and technological capabilities. The trip included meetings with Govi Chezhiaan, Minister of Higher Education of Tamil Nadu, to explore academic collaboration, student exchange, and technology-focused training. These exchanges highlighted the importance of digital readiness in early education to support future workforce requirements and the integration of local talent into global production networks.
The economic agenda advanced during the mission to India directly connects with its educational actions. During the trip, state representatives, including Esau Garza, Minister of Economic Development, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, highlighted that the state offers modern infrastructure, a trained workforce, and a regulatory environment that facilitates investment.
Meetings with executives from RANE, LUCAS TVS, TAFE, and Simpson focused on opportunities to establish or expand operations oriented toward North America. These conversations addressed the potential for higher local content, improved supplier integration, and expanded production capacities, say authorities.
The education initiative and the international promotion strategy, among many other initiatives, aim to strengthen Aguascalientes as a development center that combines digital adoption, talent formation, and industrial expansion. The state’s government positions education as a structural component of its competitiveness framework, which relies on technology access and long-term human capital development.
