Digital transformation trade association Digital Europe called for further alignment between the region and the US to ensure sovereignty and territorial integrity are maintained, elements it believes are key to fully employing technology in future.
The body stated a recent de-escalation of tensions between the region and US are a step in the right direction, but argued more must be done to ensure the economic stability of both markets.
Director-General Cecilia Bonefeld Dahl said the European Union (EU) needs a stronger mandate and argued the region “must remain united in its response to external pressure to safeguard its interests and credibility”.
