Newark residents looking to break into the world of technology will have a new opportunity this spring as the Urban League Tech House prepares to launch its CompTIA Tech+ training program in March 2026.

The beginner-friendly course is designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of computers and information technology while preparing them for the industry-recognized CompTIA Tech+ certification exam. 

The program is ideal for individuals exploring entry-level IT careers, adults seeking a career change, or anyone looking to strengthen their digital skills in today’s workforce.

 

Program Schedule and Location

 

Classes will begin during the second week of March 2026 and run Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The five-week program includes a total of 80 instructional hours and will be held at the Urban League Tech House in Newark.

The CompTIA Tech+ curriculum provides a strong foundation in core technology concepts, including:

Computer hardware and software basics

Operating systems, including Windows and device platforms
