Govt launches digital skills center for Women
A modern multi-purpose digital facility to support the economic inclusion of women has been officially opened at the Business Incubation Center in Peshawar Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The center has been set up through the Digitalization for Women Economic Empowerment (D4WEE) initiative a project that has been funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
The initiative aims to boost women’s digital capacity and increase better income generating options around the province.
Commissioner Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mehsud was the chief guest who attended the inauguration ceremony while KOICA Country Head Eun Kyung Kang was also present on this occasion.
Addressing the ceremony Commissioner Mehsud reiterated the fact that women’s access to modern digital tools and skills is important for sustainable development.
He acknowledged the contribution of KOICA in doting them with state-of-the-art equipment and assured the district administration would extend full cooperation to give a shape to the project.
Held under the theme ‘Empower Her’, the program will launch the digital skill training of 3000 women and female students belonging to different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The initiative’s goal is to increase women’s participation in the digital economy and their access to opportunities in the area of employment and entrepreneurship.
Govt launches digital system to monitor teachers’ performance
Previously, The School Education Department taken a major step to effectively monitor teachers’ academic performance by launching and activating the “Teaching Practice Analysis Form” on the HRMS portal.
Under the new system, all teachers will be required to upload daily records of their teaching activities on the portal.
Teachers will also have to submit a short video of their classroom teaching, with a maximum file size limit of 5 MB.
According to the department, the initiative aims to digitally document teachers’ professional skills and improve the overall quality of education.
The move is expected to ensure transparent and effective evaluation of teaching performance across schools.
