Global Affairs Student Worker Position | Announce
The Global Affairs team seeks a communications-focused student worker to support strategic storytelling, marketing, and outreach initiatives across Global Experiences and Global Partnerships & Initiatives.
This position offers hands-on experience in international education communications, allowing the selected student to contribute meaningfully to campaigns that elevate UNL’s global impact while developing professional skills in writing, branding, and digital engagement.

Key Responsibilities
As a Global Affairs Communications Student Worker, you will:
Write and edit content for storytelling campaigns, brochures, newsletters, and annual reports
Interview students, including study abroad alumni, faculty, and community members and draft feature stories for web and social platforms
Develop presentations aligned with UNL brand standards
Support social media strategy development and content creation
Assist with photography and multimedia storytelling efforts as needed
Qualifications
Required:
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and collaborative mindset
Interest in global engagement and cross-cultural learning
Professionalism and ability to handle sensitive information appropriately
Availability to work 15 to 19 hours per week during the Spring 2026 semester (occasional evening event support required)
Experience with Instagram and social media content creation
Preferred:
Experience writing articles or feature stories for public audiences
Experience with professional or event photography
Basic video editing skills
