AND Digital says its partnership with learning platform HowNow has reduced learning content curation time by around 50 percent and cut onboarding administration by 80 percent, as the consultancy accelerates skills development across its workforce.

The UK-headquartered technology consultancy, which employs around 800 people across the UK, The Netherlands and the USA, engaged HowNow in early 2023 to centralize learning and support faster speed to competence for new hires. Around 80 percent of its workforce are client-facing consultants.

Three years on, the company reports measurable operational impact tied to platform adoption.

Centralizing skills and reducing admin

By integrating LinkedIn Learning into HowNow, AND Digital says it has streamlined learning and development processes while aligning content more closely to business priorities. The company reports a 50 percent reduction in learning and subject matter expert curation time, enabling the creation of practice-specific learning pathways with less manual oversight.

The onboarding process has also been redesigned. According to the company, a traditional week-long induction has been replaced with a single structured learning event supported by digital pathways. AND Digital says this has reduced L&D time spent on onboarding by 80 percent and accelerated integration for new hires.

Tara Ryan-Tedford, Learning and Development Lead at AND Digital, says: “HowNow has been the linchpin of this transition. By housing structured onboarding pathways and post-induction support in one accessible place, we’ve been able to move toward a self-serve, on-demand resource model. As an L&D team, this has also reduced our induction admin by 80%.”

AI enablement driving daily engagement

Following the launch of a pathway focused on AI Enablement, AND Digital reports that 75 percent of employees now access HowNow every working day. The company positions this as evidence of sustained engagement rather than passive platform rollout.

Ryan-Tedford describes the level of usage as a “huge testament to the value it’s delivering.”

She adds: “We wanted an agile partner and HowNow definitely ticks that box. The platform is purpose-built to support skills-driven learning and we really like that it enables people to create and contribute their own content. We have lots of technical experts so enabling them to share their knowledge with colleagues is part of our future-proofing strategy.”

Nelson Sivalingam, Co-founder and CEO at HowNow, says: “The AND Digital team is committed to building consultant capability and future-ready skills, and we’re delighted to be supporting such a fantastic organisation. Our skills-first partnership is driving faster expansion and diversification of AND Digital’s consulting services and we’re thrilled to be supporting them on this critical journey.”

The partnership reflects a broader shift toward skills-first learning models in professional services, where platforms are expected to demonstrate operational impact rather than simply content access. For consultancies competing on technical expertise and AI capability, speed to competence and internal knowledge sharing are becoming core performance metrics.
