3D 360 Ltd Wins National Nuclear Skills Award for Driving Nuclear-Ready Skills Pathways
New NIA SME member 3D 360 Ltd has won the People Power – Skills Leading Change award at the NSAN National Nuclear Skills Awards, standing alongside major Tier 1 and Tier 2 organisations recognised for their work on skills.
The award reflects over £2.5 million in independently verified social value, created through skills development, access to technology, and clear pathways into employment.
The organisation has supported 2,500+ learners (with over 80% progressing into employment or higher-skilled roles and worked with 600+ businesses through its established programmes in advanced manufacturing, digital technologies and Industry 4.0, and is now aligning this proven delivery model to nuclear skills pathways.
Reflecting the need to grow the pool, programmes are designed to support entry-level talent, career changers and supply chain organisations to access nuclear-relevant skills. This includes Nuclear Project Management Skills Bootcamps and wider provision focused on transferable capability.
Its approach combines employer-led training, access to equipment and collaboration with partners including Gastech Nucleaire and Get into Nuclear and regional skills bodies, ensuring delivery integrates with existing programmes and remains demand-led.
The award highlights the growing role SMEs can play in strengthening the nuclear skills pipeline through practical, scalable and demand-led delivery that connects people, training and industry need.
Paul Bullock, Managing Director of 3D 360 Ltd, said:
“We’ve always focused on delivery giving people the skills, tools and confidence to move into real roles. By aligning that model with the nuclear sector, we’re not just creating pathways, we’re making them work in practice. That’s how you build capability that lasts. As the model continues to evolve, maintaining demand-led alignment will be key to ensuring pathways reflect real workforce requirements and translate into meaningful, sustainable capability across the nuclear supply chain.”
Lynne Matthews, Director LM Consultants working with 3D360
“A critical challenge for the sector is ensuring the skills infrastructure operates as a connected system, rather than a series of well-intentioned but fragmented interventions. What 3D 360 demonstrates is how delivery can be aligned across the full delivery chain as part of a national framework, integrating with existing provision rather than duplicating it.”
By bringing together expertise in advanced manufacturing, digital technologies and emerging sector needs, the model builds trusted, transferable capability across industries. This ensures individuals are not only prepared for today’s roles, but equipped for the increasingly digital and manufacturing-led future of the nuclear sector.
