The Photography and Digital Practice MA (Online) course at London College of Communication equips students with emerging digital skills in photography.

As one of the first postgraduate courses to take a screen-first approach, MA Photography and Digital Practice (Online) reimagines what photography can be in an age of technological change. Students will be at the forefront of photography’s digital future, where they are encouraged to develop, test and showcase their ideas in innovative ways.

Students will experiment with new and emerging digital imaging technologies, digital production methods and networked forms of distribution, exploring how these shifts are reshaping the way images are produced, shared and understood.

Through hands-on experimentation, they’ll build a distinctive portfolio of work and create innovative, research-informed projects that reflect their creative voice.

Alongside practice, students will address problems such as platform bias, dataset ethics, automation and the environmental impact of computational imaging in photography and digital practices.

With a fully online, part-time structure and a choice of award pathways (Master’s, Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Certificate), students can achieve their ambitions alongside their existing professional and personal commitments.
