Royale Mikri’s latest Free Webinar Series, held under the theme “AI for Workplace Excellence,” attracted hundreds of participants, highlighting the growing interest in artificial intelligence as a practical tool for improving productivity, decision making, innovation, and workplace efficiency.

The webinar, organised by Royale Mikri in partnership with Oakwood Knowledge Academy, a member of the Oakwood Green Africa Group, and Africon AI Consult, brought together professionals, entrepreneurs, students, business owners, and emerging leaders seeking to understand how AI can be applied meaningfully in everyday work environments.

The strong participation reflected a growing awareness that artificial intelligence is no longer a distant technological concept, but a present day workplace enabler with the potential to transform how individuals and organisations operate. Discussions during the session focused on practical AI adoption, responsible usage, productivity improvement, business support, digital competitiveness, and the importance of building relevant skills for the future of work.

Speaking on the significance of the webinar, Justice Sagoe, Executive Director, Royale Mikri, said the high level of participation showed that many professionals and businesses are ready to move beyond curiosity and begin applying AI in practical ways.

“The response to this webinar confirms that people are not only interested in AI, they want to understand how to use it responsibly and productively in their daily work. At Royale Mikri, our goal is to create access to practical knowledge that helps people grow, compete, and prepare for the future. AI is already reshaping the workplace, and we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to understand it and benefit from it,” Mr. Sagoe said.

The session explored how AI tools can support workplace excellence by helping individuals automate routine tasks, improve research and reporting, strengthen communication, support customer service, enhance data interpretation, and improve personal and team productivity. Participants were also introduced to the importance of prompt writing, ethical considerations, digital responsibility, and the need to combine AI tools with human judgment, creativity, and professional discipline.

Oakwood Knowledge Academy’s involvement brought a strong capacity building perspective to the session, reinforcing the need for structured learning and continuous professional development as organisations adapt to the changing digital economy. As part of the Oakwood Green Africa Group, the Academy’s participation aligned with its broader focus on knowledge development, enterprise support, and skills building across Africa.

Africon AI Consult also contributed technical and practical insight into the growing role of AI across industries, with emphasis on helping professionals and organisations understand the opportunities, limitations, and responsible use of AI enabled tools.

The webinar further highlighted the need for African professionals, SMEs, and institutions to engage more actively with emerging technologies, not as passive observers, but as users, builders, and innovators. Participants were encouraged to see AI as a support system for improving work quality and productivity, rather than a replacement for human expertise.

According to the organisers, the success of the session reinforces Royale Mikri’s commitment to creating accessible learning platforms that respond to the needs of today’s professionals and businesses. The Free Webinar Series is designed to provide practical knowledge, expose participants to emerging trends, and support personal, professional, and enterprise growth.

The high turnout also signals a broader shift in workplace learning, with more individuals seeking accessible digital skills training that can help them remain relevant in a fast changing global economy.

Royale Mikri expressed appreciation to participants, partners, facilitators, and all contributors who supported the successful delivery of the webinar, noting that future editions of the series will continue to focus on relevant themes that empower people and organisations to thrive.
