Kansas Business Awards Headed to Pittsburg – Nominate A Business Today

Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland today announced the 2025 To The Stars: Kansas Business Awards will be held Thursday, October 16, at the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg.
The Kansas Department of Commerce still is accepting nominations for the popular annual award program, which recognizes companies and individuals around the state for the positive impact they make on their communities and the Kansas economy. Nominations for the awards will close Monday, July 7.
“The To The Stars: Kansas Business Awards ceremony is more than a banquet — it’s a way to acknowledge and celebrate the business achievements and entrepreneurial spirit that is found in every region of our state,” Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland said. “It’s because of our trailblazing businesses and dedicated individuals that we can keep growing our economy and bringing more opportunities to our communities.”
This year’s banquet and award ceremony will bring together leaders, innovators and supporters from across the state to celebrate business excellence. These awards are a testament to Kansas’ commitment to supporting and uplifting businesses at every stage of their story.
Companies, organizations and individuals from an array of industries will be recognized — ranging from agriculture, apprenticeships, healthcare and nonprofit, main street organizations, manufacturing, small businesses, exporters, young entrepreneurs, retail and more.
This year’s event will include the announcement of the Governor’s Award of Excellence, Governor’s Exporter of the Year and the two newest inductees to the Kansas Business Hall of Fame.
Individuals are encouraged to nominate — or self-nominate — their favorite Kansas businesses for a chance to be recognized at this year’s celebration. Whether the nominee is a business owner, advisor or community partner, Commerce wants to recognize successful accomplishments that are happening across the state.
“We are working hard to highlight the hundreds of thousands of businesses located across Kansas that keep our state vibrant and strong,” Deputy Secretary of Business Development Joshua Jefferson said. “Our businesses show up for their communities, customers and all of Kansas — and now it’s time that we show up for them and celebrate all that we have achieved together.”
Award nominations will be accepted until midnight Monday, July 7. To learn more about the event and categories, view past winners or to submit nominations, click here.
