Cognizant is making waves with its first-ever Global Vibe Coding Week, a massive AI-driven initiative that has brought together over 2.5 lakh employees across departments — from HR and sales to engineering and marketing. As part of the event, Cognizant is attempting a Guinness World Record for the largest coding event ever, powered by platforms like Lovable, Windsurf, Cursor, Gemini Code Assist, and GitHub Copilot.
“We’re thrilled to be attempting the first and largest vibe coding event,” said Ravi Kumar S, CEO of Cognizant. “This initiative underscores our commitment to advancing AI literacy across talent, no matter the technical skill.” He added, “Technology is now in the hands of people who don’t need deep digital skills to access it.”
Anton Osika, CEO of Lovable, called the event a movement toward shaping a better future, while Jeff Wang, CEO of Windsurf, said it was about “unleashing a new kind of creativity across entire teams and diverse backgrounds.”
Cognizant’s internal hub, built in just one month for the initiative, offers tutorials, resources, and a streamlined submission platform. With workshops, competitions, and community-building at its core, this event marks a shift toward democratised innovation within the workplace — where anyone can build with AI, regardless of coding experience.
