DYERSBURG – In an effort to connect more jobseekers to local employers, the American Job Center-Dyersburg will hold a multi-employer job fair on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place at the American Job Center-Dyersburg, located at 313 W. Cedar Street.
Job seekers are encouraged to come prepared for on-the-spot interviews, as many employers attending are looking to hire immediately. Attendees should bring multiple copies of their resume and two forms of identification. American Job Center staff will be onsite to assist with developing a professional resume. The job fair addresses a growing concern among jobseekers about the challenges of online applications. Many employers now require applications to be submitted online, a process that can be difficult for individuals with limited digital skills or internet access. Additionally, applicants often report frustration with the lack of response after submitting online applications, even for positions that remain advertised.
“The in-person format of a job fair removes these barriers by giving jobseekers direct access to hiring managers,” said Karen Davison, Career Specialist. “Individuals will have the opportunity to speak to hiring employers directly, learn more about open positions, and make a lasting impression.”
To date, seven employers have confirmed their participation/intend to participate in the event, including ERMCO, White & Associates, Colonial Rubber, Tyson (Humboldt), Amteck, Lowe’s, and Old Navy, with more potentially joining in the days ahead. Jobseekers are also encouraged to register on Jobs4TN.gov to browse and apply for additional job opportunities. The American Job Center offers resource rooms equipped with computers, as well as staff support for job applications, resume assistance, and other employment services.
