Civil servants to receive AI training

The Interior Ministry and the National Centre of Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Governance and Microsoft, will implement new training programs focused on emerging technologies for civil servants.

These programs aim to build both foundational and advanced skills in cloud computing and AI. As part of the Microsoft Civil Servants Academy – the world’s first initiative of its kind, launched in 2023 – the goal is to train and certify approximately 2,000 civil servants in digital skills by 2025.

The initiative also empowers EKDDA to establish a dedicated pool of Microsoft-certified trainers. These trainers will take on the responsibility of upskilling the broader civil service workforce, supporting large-scale, rapid and effective digital transformation across public administration.
