Zopa and ClearScore launch GenAI training coalition

Zopa Bank and ClearScore Group, a digital bank and financial marketplace respectively, have announced the first 22 members of Jobs2030, an industry coalition designed to train 100,000 financial services professionals in artificial intelligence disciplines by 2030.
The inaugural cohort joins a programme built around five pillars, Technology, Content, Training, Hiring, and Advocacy, with a 2026 curriculum comprising five courses at launch and up to 12 expert-designed modules expected to be available before the end of the year.
The training, tailored to compliance, engineering, operations, and product functions, is hosted on digital learning platform Zenarate and draws on content from organisations including Allica Bank, Funding Circle, OpenPayd, Code First Girls, Domestic & General, DOJO AI, and Streets Consulting.
The modules are designed to integrate with large language models including Google’s Gemini, OpenAI’s ChatGPT, and Anthropic’s Claude, enabling AI coaching, live simulations, and scenario-based learning.
The coalition has also assembled support from across the UK’s financial services ecosystem: Innovate Finance will promote the initiative among the country’s 185,000 FinTech workers, while the City of London Corporation will engage its network spanning the Square Mile and UK policy circles. Venture capital firms Augmentum Fintech and Volution will advocate for the coalition within the VC community.
Market intelligence and industry analysis will be contributed by EY and law firm Cooley LLP, with academic input from Alliance Manchester Business School and Oxford Saïd Business School. Bridging the gap between education and workplace deployment, the National College of Digital Skills (Ada), TechSkills UK, Code First Girls, and FinTech recruiter Harrington Starr will align newly acquired skills with member requirements and market trends.
The Hoffman Agency will support the programme’s broader B2B reach, and Streets Consulting will deliver professional skills training centred on leadership, AI adoption, and communication. The Financial Services Skills Commission joins as an observer body, contributing to the shared goal of reducing skills gaps across UK financial services. Strategic oversight will be provided by a 13-member Advisory Council.
Jobs2030 was co-founded by Zopa and ClearScore in late 2025. Membership is voluntary, free, and structured as an ESG initiative. To gain access to the full curriculum, member organisations are required to co-create one training module within their area of expertise within 12 months of joining. A dedicated content team supports members in transforming internal AI strategy documents into ready-to-use training modules.
Zopa Bank chief customer officer Clare Gambardella said: “Today, around 20 million Brits already use AI tools—nearly half the adult population—showing that people are already engaged with AI. We launched Jobs2030 to turn this engagement into valuable workplace skills – giving the UK’s banking and fintech workforce the ability to thrive in an AI-driven future. This will be key as our research shows that up to 27,000 financial services roles could be displaced by GenAI by 2030, particularly in traditional banks with large retail footprints.
“Our 2026 training curriculum will deliver practical, employer-designed AI skills backed by industry expertise. We believe that by equipping people with the confidence and tools to navigate the AI transition, they can not only seize the opportunities it brings but also use it to create better customer outcomes”.
ClearScore Group co-founder and CEO Justin Basini said: “AI advantage won’t come from tools alone, but from people who know how to use them well. Building AI literacy across banking and fintech is a strategic imperative – one that will define leadership, resilience, and responsible innovation in the years ahead. The work of Jobs2030 is vital to raise standards across banking and fintech to ensure that people have the skills, judgment, and confidence to use AI responsibly.”
