Working under the guidance of the Marketing and Communications Senior Specialist (MCSS), the intern will contribute to digital campaigns, branding initiatives, and social media storytelling in line with the World YWCA’s Strategic Framework 2024–2027.
This opportunity is ideal for early-career professionals interested in feminist communications, visual storytelling, digital media, and global advocacy.

The DCGI will support the organization’s marketing and communications by co-developing content that brings feminist narratives to life through digital platforms. This includes:

- Contributing to storytelling efforts through visual and multimedia content aligned with World YWCA branding
- Assisting with the planning and execution of global digital campaigns
- Collaborating with the MCSS and other team members to ensure brand consistency and audience engagement
- Supporting the overall visibility and external communications of the World YWCA Secretariat and its affiliated members
All content produced must reflect the organization’s feminist values, inclusive messaging, and strategic priorities.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a mix of creativity, commitment to feminist values, and strong communication and digital skills. Key qualifications include:
- A clear alignment with the World YWCA’s mission and principles of women’s rights, youth leadership, and gender justice
- Demonstrated ability in graphic design, digital content creation, or campaign development
- Proficiency in tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent platforms
- Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools is an advantage
- Excellent written and visual communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage deadlines, and deliver consistent quality
- Previous experience in nonprofit, feminist, youth-led, or advocacy organizations is desirable but not required
Applicants should have access to the tools and internet connection necessary to complete remote work effectively.
Terms of the Internship
This is a consultant mandate for a six-month internship starting 15 October 2025, with the possibility of renewal depending on performance and available funding. The role is deliverables-based, and interns will receive a monthly stipend of USD 1,000 (inclusive of taxes, adjusted by location).
The selected candidate will engage remotely with the World YWCA Secretariat and work flexible hours based on agreed deliverables and deadlines.
