Djibouti: $30 Million Digital Projects Initiative in East Africa | Dawan Africa
Djibouti (Dawan Africa) 24 April 2026 Djibouti has launched a $30 million digital projects initiative during a workshop held at the Palace of the People in the capital, with support from the World Bank, according to the state news agency ADI.
The initiative focuses on the “Djibouti Digital Foundations” (DFN) project and the “East Africa Regional Digital Integration Programme” (EARDIP), funded with $10 million and $20 million respectively through the International Development Association.
Officials said the workshop aimed to inform stakeholders about the scope of the projects, gather feedback and support effective implementation.
ICT project manager Faycal Khaireh Chirdon said the programmes are designed to expand access to digital services and strengthen citizens’ digital skills.
