South County Fire hosts FREE Emergency Preparedness Expo Saturday, Sept. 20
South County Fire invites you to learn how to prepare and care for your family in different types of emergencies. Visit the third annual Emergency Preparedness Expo on Saturday, September 20, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of 200th St. SW at 44th Ave. W, Lynnwood, across from the light rail station.

Join this free event for all ages to learn essential lifesaving skills – from fire safety to earthquake readiness and more:
- Meet emergency professionals from Snohomish County and Washington state, while exploring resources and giveaways from 30+ agencies.
- See a fire engine up close and explore police vehicles!
- Take home a free South County Fire drawstring backpack.
- Enjoy a free lunch provided by Franz Bakery (while supplies last)!
“Emergencies can happen when we least expect them, but being prepared can make all the difference,” said Shawneri Guzman, Community Outreach Manager for South County Fire. “Our goal is to help families feel confident and empowered, knowing they have the tools to stay safe and protect what matters most. We encourage everyone to join us – because a little preparation can bring peace of mind and help keep our communities strong and resilient.”
The Emergency Preparedness Expo is presented by South County Fire in partnership with the City of Brier, City of Edmonds, City of Lynnwood, City of Mill Creek, and City of Mountlake Terrace.
