The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Digital Learning Network to leverage innovative digital solutions aimed at improving learning outcomes and expanding access to quality education across Nigeria.

The initiative seeks to address long-standing challenges in the education sector by integrating technology-driven approaches into classrooms nationwide. Its core objectives include enhancing access to quality education through digital learning platforms, improving teacher capacity through training and continuous support, increasing student engagement with interactive digital content, and fostering a culture of innovation in Nigeria’s basic education system.

Speaking at the official ceremony, UBEC’s Deputy Executive Secretary (Services), Tunde Segun Ajibulu, mni, emphasized that the project would help bridge learning gaps while equipping both teachers and students with essential digital skills.

On his part, Mr. Thomas Larmena, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Learning Network, described the partnership as a transformative step that has the potential to revolutionize education in Nigeria. He noted that the collaboration would provide millions of children with access to quality learning opportunities and prepare them for success in an increasingly digital world.

The event was attended by members of UBEC’s management team alongside the delegation from the Digital Learning Network, underscoring the commitment of both parties to advancing Nigeria’s education sector through innovation and collaboration.
