The growing importance of artificial intelligence and digital skills in Cambodia’s evolving job market took centre stage at the IBCC Job Fair 2026, where business leaders, educators, and job seekers gathered recently to discuss how emerging technologies are reshaping employment opportunities and workforce expectations.

Organised by the Indian Business Chamber in Cambodia at the Sun & Moon Riverside Hotel in Phnom Penh on Thursday, the event brought together more than 25 companies and multiple universities, offering over 200 job opportunities across sectors including technology, banking, pharmaceuticals, and professional services.

A major highlight of the event was a panel discussion titled “AI, Education & Employability: Preparing Cambodia’s Workforce for the Future,” which explored how artificial intelligence is transforming industries and increasing demand for digital and analytical skills. Speakers stressed that universities and employers must work more closely together to prepare students and young professionals for a rapidly changing labour market.

The event attracted strong participation from students, graduates, and professionals eager to engage directly with employers through networking sessions, interviews, and recruitment booths.

The event, IBCC’s first dedicated job fair initiative, was also attended by senior government and diplomatic representatives, including Chea Kosal, Secretary of State, Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, and Vanlalvawna Bawitlung, Ambassador of India to Cambodia.

In his opening remarks, Babulal Parihar, President of IBCC, emphasised the importance of creating structured employment platforms that connect businesses with emerging talent. “This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting the broader employment ecosystem in Cambodia,” he said,.

Panel discussion on AI was participated by Pen Lymeng, CEO & Founder, Dojology Tech & Ventures; Jan Hanken, Co-Founder, ChainsAtlas Lab; Mean Udam, Secretary to the Board of Governors, CamEd Business School; and Yorn Sophearith, Entrepreneur and Strategist. The session was moderated by Niraj Gupta, Vice President of IBCC.
